The Nevado Quitaraju with its 6,040 meters above sea level is one of the 19 main six thousand of the Cordillera Blanca, it belongs to the Huascarán National Park, it is located in the Peruvian Andes and belongs to the Santa Cruz massif.

Itinerary:

Departure from Huaraz north to reach Cashapampa from here start walking towards the gorge of Santa Cruz, to the camp in Llamacorral.

Ichicocha and pass through the lagoons to Arhuaycocha Jatuncocha broken, reaching base camp set up our camp done.

We started the walk ascending across the moraine until the glacier to continue the climb up to the Campo Alto. Camp.

Early morning departure from the Campo Alto headed to the Collado del Quitaraju to start climbing the north wall to reach the top and enjoy a spectacular view of the mountains. Return to high camp.

This day we descend by the same route to reach the Base Camp. Camp

Departure in the Quebrada Santa Cruz for about 7 hours until Cashapampa where our transport awaits us to return us to Huaraz.
