Itinerary:
On the tour to Nevado Pastoruri you will get to know the most accessible glacier in the Cordillera Blanca and enjoy the flora/fauna landscape of the Huascarán National Park.
After being picked up at your hotel or meeting point, we will leave at 9:00 am heading south of Huaraz, enjoying the southern part of the Cordillera Blanca and the towns of Recuay, Ticapampa and Catac.
First stop: It will be inside the Huascarán National Park in Patococha, also known as the Laguna de los Patos, it is called that because, in the mentioned lagoon, there are wild ducks.
Second stop: It will be at the Puma Pampa Gasified Water Spring with a beautiful view of the Mururaju snow-capped mountain.
Third stop: Pumapashimi Lagoon, also known as the Spring of the Seven Colors, according to legend it is believed that the rainbow is born there.
Fourth stop: It will be to see the high Andean flora of the “Puyas de Raimondi”.
Fifth stop: It will be at the Pastoruri base camp to start the walk to the glacier (40 minutes approx.). You can also rent horses (additional cost).
Our last stop will be on the way back in the city of Ticapampa for lunch.
We will be back in the city of Huaraz at 6:00 pm. Approximately.
